☰ Table

WP Data Access - Table Builder - Table Menu

Define table settings in the Table menu. This is where you configure query execution, establish master-detail relationships, set filters, define allowed actions, set a default filter and ordering, and manage the table layout.

☰ Columns

WP Data Access - Table Builder - Columns Menu

Column settings are managed in the Columns menu. While columns are selected in the App Manager, you can choose to hide them here. The advantage of hiding columns in the Table Builder instead of the App Manager is that you can still access their values in computed fields and hooks.

An entry is added for each specific column. Each column setting contains its own set of features, which may differ depending on the column type. Some features are available directly in the column overview, while others are located in specific sections for managing settings, actions, lookups, and aggregations. The column metadata section refers to the column's table definition.

☰ Maps

WP Data Access - Table Builder - Maps Menu

Maps can be created as a separate app or embedded within a table app. The Maps menu helps you embed maps into a table app. They can be displayed at the top or bottom of a table, or interactively on mouse click. Embedded maps are generated from the data currently visible on the page. The map refreshes automatically if the user navigates to another page or applies a filter.
